The Zoo

Every year the Sheriff's department has a Hot Dog party for the crossing guards. We get to go to the zoo first thing in the morning before they open. (This was the first year we have gone because me and Cam have always been working out at the Miller motor sports park the day that they do it. This year we are working out there in July so we could go.) We stayed longer at the zoo and skipped the hot dogs because Cameron was having so much fun at the zoo.My favorite part was seeing the tigers up and walking around. We saw them being let out and then they ran all around their area. I love going on a cooler day and early in the morning. All the animals seemed to be more active. How Brooklyn spent most of the morning.Camrie's favorite part was this monkey. Don't let her face fool you. It was singing so loud and swinging all over the place. It so kindly stop and posed for our picture. Cam's favorite part was seeing the Rhino's so close up. They were right next to the window.Camrie wasn't to sure about the train at first but once we got going she really enjoyed it and wanted to go again.

You've got mail

Camrie got this fun little number in the mail and until it got put somewhere unseen she never took a breath away from it. Aunts are so fun!!!

New Trick, Skirt, Hair

Brooklyn has a new trick as of the 6th of May. She was contained in the laundry basket so she couldn't crawl into stuff and she pulled herself up. She was very proud of herself for doing it. Now the crib has been lowered so she can't fall out.I made the girls these matching skirts with leftover fabric my mom had.Camrie's hair is getting so long I can't believe it.

The Park

We have a fun little park by our house. We took the babies for a walk over to it back in April. Camrie pushed her baby and I pushed Brooklyn.

Hanging out at Grandma's house

Swinging.Jumping.Sliding.Feeding the horse, one of Camrie's favorite things to do.

Jacobson Family Pictures

I love family pictures. I think that you can never do them to much.
I put Camrie's hair in curlers because pictures were in the morning and I wouldn't have time to get everything done if I hadn't. She thought it was way fun.Brooklyn put her sleeping mask on for some last minute beauty sleep before pictures. Here are some pictures we took throughout the photo shoot.

Downtown

Camrie slept over at the Jacobson's back in April and this is the contraption Papa Kib came up with so she could ride the bike they have there. We also decided that when they came to bring her back we would all get together for Cam and Leisa's birthday dinner because we hadn't yet. We went to Tucanos at the Gateway then made an evening of it. Camrie was a little tired at first.Brooklyn was being very giggly. Which was so not normal for her.Camrie decided that she wanted to tickle Brooklyn once she was more awake.Camrie got to pet the horse that was taking people on carriage rides.Camrie got to ride on papa.We were drawn to the frozen yogurt shop by the pretty lights all over the ceiling.Camrie loved the little sample cups that were just her size.

Sleeping Spots

Camrie has been found sleeping in some funny spots.

Under the piano benchOn her tableNext to my bed
She is a pretty good sleeper. She will sleep just about anywhere.

Today I decided it was the day to mess up her sleeping. I had her trade her old Binky in for a new toy. She was so excited for a new toy. She cut the tips of her Binky's off and we threw them away. She loved the new toy and because it was a big girl toy and not for babies she loved even more that we put Brooklyn in the jumper so she could get the big girl toy. Well nap time came around and she wanted her Binky's back or as she calls them "B's" back. I reminded her that she traded them. So she didn't nap. Then we went in the car and she always falls asleep there when she hasn't had a nap. Three car rides later still no sleeping. I thought that's OK we will just put her to bed early because she will be tired. In and out of bed with every excuse. Which is not any different from other nights but she didn't even act tired. Well 9:30pm rolls around and she is finally sleeping. No crying, not much begging, lets hope that we have taken care of that baby habit.
