Loaner Cars

Last week we took our Volvo in to get fixed because the driver side window stopped working. There were a few other minor things wrong that were bugging us too, like the cruise control deciding to turn off randomly or the car not starting on the first few tries for no apparent reason, but we couldn't ignore the window being half way down. Anyway, while the car was in the shop, the dealership gave us a loaner car to use over Memorial weekend—a 2008 Volvo XC70 (By far the nicest car I have ever driven). While we thoroughly enjoyed the car, I think it's a jip that they loan such nice cars; it makes your own car seem like a piece of junk even when it's all fixed up and running well. I almost wish they had given us a junker car just so my own car would seem that much better after being fixed. I know they loan a nice car to make it seem like they're trying their best to satisfy their customer while they fix one of their faulty products, but really it's just a scam to entice you into a new, upgraded car. Maybe I'm just pointing out the negative, it probably should be viewed as a sweet deal, but anyway, we had fun in the car and hope some day to be able to afford a nice new one someday.

I heard about the loaner car. I am jealous. I'm sure it was a blast to drive for a few days!

As much as it makes your car look crappy, I bet it was fun to drive a brand new Volvo for a few days.
