"Swimming"

We got a pool for Camrie when it got so warm, this was her first time "swimming".

You can't really see her in the video so here is a picture that I love of her in the pool

Loaner Cars

Last week we took our Volvo in to get fixed because the driver side window stopped working. There were a few other minor things wrong that were bugging us too, like the cruise control deciding to turn off randomly or the car not starting on the first few tries for no apparent reason, but we couldn't ignore the window being half way down. Anyway, while the car was in the shop, the dealership gave us a loaner car to use over Memorial weekend—a 2008 Volvo XC70 (By far the nicest car I have ever driven). While we thoroughly enjoyed the car, I think it's a jip that they loan such nice cars; it makes your own car seem like a piece of junk even when it's all fixed up and running well. I almost wish they had given us a junker car just so my own car would seem that much better after being fixed. I know they loan a nice car to make it seem like they're trying their best to satisfy their customer while they fix one of their faulty products, but really it's just a scam to entice you into a new, upgraded car. Maybe I'm just pointing out the negative, it probably should be viewed as a sweet deal, but anyway, we had fun in the car and hope some day to be able to afford a nice new one someday.

Odds and ends

This month we (me and Camrie) went to a ton of showers. We had three that we made it to for Nicole and one for my cousin Krystal Love that is getting married on 06/07/08 (I think that is a cool date). They were a lot of fun getting together with family and visiting. At Krystal's shower it was fun to see relatives that we haven't seen for a while and to meet Tyler (her fiance). I got to see one of my cousin's babies that I have never seen and is I think almost a month older then Camrie. It was fun catching up with everyone. We also have one more shower this month for my Aunt Carol that is having a baby girl on June 14th. The shower is this Saturday so that will be fun to get together with family on my mom's side of the family.

Also this month the Fowers came up from St. George and we got to hang out with them for the night. We meet up with them at Tim's sister Hailey's house. They had some cupcakes to celebrate birthdays that they were not going to be together for. It was fun seeing Tim and Holly's little boy Davis eat his cupcake. He went to town on it. We also got hooked on playing the Wii that Hailey's family has. It was our first time and it was way fun. We lost track of time and all the kids were sleepy. Sorry once again we don't have any pictures from hanging out with the Fowers but we had a blast. Can't wait to see you guys again. We may try to come down in June and hang out with you and the Platts. Maybe we can check out the water park thing that they have down in St. George.

Also I have been trying to get a spot in our yard ready for a garden but it seems to be never ending trying to get all the crazy ivy out. We also have out of control grape vines that are all over the trees, fence and ground in that corner. Some of the grape vines on the ground are as big around as a baseball. At the rate that I'm going we may have a garden next year. I got all my pots planted and I'm thinking of making a herb pot so we can have fresh herbs whenever we want.

Projects

I have recently finished some projects that I had been working on. One was the dress that Camrie wore for Nate and Nicole's Wedding. It was my first time making little girl cloths and it was way fun. It took me about two days to make because it was so small and like a month to find flowers to put on it. Leisa was the one that finally found the flowers for her dress and her headband. The other one was this pillow that I gave Nicole at one of her showers. I thought that it was fun. I put with the card that it was a gift to help make one less miscommunication.
The next project I have been working on and off on it since I think Dec. SO I was so glad when it finally was done so I didn't have to think about it anymore. It is a Quiet Book!!! It was also fun to make and something that I remember having when I was a kid so I really wanted Camrie and the rest of our kids to have one.

Miller Motor Sportspark

Me and Cam got to work at the race way for 4 days in May. The 14, 15, 17, and 18. We didn't work the 16th because of Nate and Nicole's wedding. It was a lot of fun. This was our third time doing the LeMans race together. The worst part was having to leave my little princess all day. I have never been away from her for more then like 5 hours I think. We had an hour commute and a 10 hour work day so it was 12 hours at least that I was away from her. The best part for me was that I went around with this girl Kelsi that showed me stuff that I had never done before. We went on the grid before the big race and saw all the cars and the drivers. We went down the pit and watched them working on the cars. The funnest thing was I got to ride in a pace car. I would have liked to get a ride in this car.An Audi R8 but someone was already put in it. So this is the car that I got to ride in.At one point the driver told me that we were going 100. I forgot to ask her how fast was the fastest we went, but if you have ever seen the track 100 is still way fast. There are so many curves in the track. Any way I had a lot of fun and hope to be able to work out there with Wheeler TV next year.

Taking a nap

I thought this was so cute. LeRoy got home from school one day when I was there and he was tired and so was Camrie so he held her and they fell asleep together on the couch.

Nate and NIcole's Wedding

Nate and Nicole's wedding was a lot of fun. It was a full day with a baby, getting her ready and everything together. It was crazy but she was a trooper right on through to the end. We were getting ready to leave to take Camrie to my parents at 1:30 so they could watch her while we were at the Temple for the ceremony and Cam realized that his recommend was expired so He made a bunch of calls and then I left and took Camrie to my parents. We didn't get done in time to go to the temple together so we meet there. Then my mom brought Camrie up to the temple after for pictures. They had a dinner at The Point and it was really nice. Here are a few pictures.

Riding the Hog

My dad has a Harley that he never really rides and when he first got it back in 2000 he told my older brothers that if they went to a 3 day course they could ride it. Neither of them wanted to take the class so they have never got to ride it. LeRoy on the other hand thought that it was a small price to pay (my parents even payed for the class). So he took the class and got to take the "baby" out for a spin. It is a 2000 Fat Boy.

Wow

I can't believe that it is the end of the month already and I have only done like one post. So much has been happening this month. My parents got a car for Camrie to keep at their house after seeing how much fun she has on the one at our house. The one they got is a lot cooler. It has all kinds of buttons that she can push and it plays songs and lights up. It has a huge trunk that she can put toys in and haul around with her. She has learned how to push a button on it that makes the ball on the front light up and the stuff inside spins also music plays. We created a habit of rewarding her when she would push the button by pushing her around when it is singing. Now the whole time she is sitting on the car she is pushing the button and waiting for you to start pushing her. She will push the button and then grab a hold of the steering wheel to get ready to take off. She learned that she has to hold on because she has gotten dumped off a few times.

8 months old

Camrie turned 8 months old today and we had to take her to be weighed. She was 13 lbs 10 oz. which was a good weight gain for her. She is wearing 3-6 months cloths and I finally put her 0-3 month cloths away because I was getting sick of them. I'm hoping that when it is the summer time that she can wear 9 months stuff because that is what size most of her summer stuff is. She is still sleeping well at night even though she has started to get sick the last few days. She has a little cough and a runny nose. We have her sleeping with a humidifier and put a pillow under her mattress so that she is on a slight incline. That way she can breath better.

Here are some pictures of her eating a Gerber baby cookie while me and Cam worked in the yard today. She loved eating it and I was the mean one that had to take it away from her and clean her up. It didn't take her long to forget about the cookie and enjoy the water that I was washing her hands with.
